As a used bookstore we rely on people like you to bring in books for the majority of our store inventory. During our buy-back and trade hours, we will look through books that you may no longer want and decide if we could use them in the store.
Of what we can use, we will offer a trade price that you may use as credit for books in store. The trade can be used same day, or can be converted to a card that you can use at either of our stores-- and never expire! We also offer a cash price, though it will be less then the value of the trade.
In the San Jose store:
11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. We do not buy back or trade on Sunday.
In the Campbell store:
11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. We do not buy back Sunday or Monday.
This is a hard question to answer, since what is popular and what will sell varies day to day. We look for books in good condition, books on obscure topics, and books by popular authors in fiction, mystery, sci-fi/fantasy, history, business, and many others.
What we DO NOT take are:
Do you take donations?
We do not take donations, as both our stores have to deal with very limited space, we have to be selective about our books. If you are looking to get rid of your books instead of selling/trading them, we suggest you go to a number of donation acceptors in the area. These include your local library, salvation army, goodwill, teen help centers, etc. Any one of these will take your box of books, and some will even give you a receipt to use on your taxes come end of the year!
